DrJ Engineering is seeking an organized individual with strong technical and written communication skills to join our established team. This is a full-time position focused on product certification of innovative, groundbreaking building products. The position requires an understanding of building codes and standards. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ingenuity are a must!
Responsibilities:
- Research building code requirements for product certification.
- Draft Technical Evaluation Reports (code compliance evaluation reports).
- Review and summarize test data for product evaluation.
- Review quality assurance and quality control documentation for completeness.
- Collaborate with engineers, product testing staff and operations teammates to serve customer needs most efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in continuing education regarding building code content, construction methods, industry trends, and customer products.
Qualifications:
Required
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- A dedication to effective time management, budget tracking, and prioritization.
Preferred
- Familiarity with building codes and standards.
- Knowledge of general construction practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- A Bachelor’s degree (or several years of field experience) in construction management, technical communication, engineering, architecture, or a technical field that allows for effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
